These high winds were a product of rapidly developing/deepning storm system moving through the region, aiding in a rapidly strengthening wind field at the surface and on aloft into the atmosphere. Additionally, a line of showers along a cold front moving across the state on Saturday transported isolated higher wind gusts to the surface.
