(10:30PM - 6/22/19) A series of disturbances pushing through the region, along with a meandering frontal boundary, will bring the threat for repeated rounds of severe t'storms to the state through Monday.
Two clusters of rain and t'storms moved across Central and Southern Illinois Friday morning into Friday evening, with a third across the same areas Friday night. The first two clusters brought widespread severe weather, in the form of wind and hail, to affected areas.
Areas of rain and t'storms have been ongoing across Iowa and Missouri this afternoon and evening, with remnants of this activity likely to push into the state tonight. An isolated severe t'storm threat may exist with some of this activity across Northwest, Western and Southwest Illinois. Wind and hail will be the main threats.
Sunday morning-Sunday night...
Several clusters of rain and t'storms are expected to move across much of the state Sunday morning through Sunday night. An environment in place featuring moderate to instability, moderate to high moisture and good shear is expected. This will promote an isolated to widely scattered severe t'storm threat across much of the state. Wind and hail will be the main threats.
Monday morning-Monday night...
A few isolated areas of showers and t'storms may be ongoing Monday morning across portions of the state. In the wake of this activity, isolated to scattered showers and t'storms may develop across portions of Northern down into Southeast Illinois during the afternoon. This activity ill then push east, exiting the state during the evening. An environment in place featuring low to moderate to instability, low to moderate moisture and decent shear is expected. This will promote an isolated severe t'storm threat across Northern and Eastern Illinois. Wind and hail will be the main threats.
Below is our TAM severe t'storm forecast for Sunday/night and Monday/night.
