*Short Term Update #1* Sun, April 14th Snow Event Update #6

(10:45AM - 4/14/19) A late season snow event continues to affect portions of the state this morning, and will continue to through later this afternoon.

​An area of moderate to heavy snow continues to push across portions of Northern and Central Illinois at this time. Snowfall accumulation of 2-5” has already occurred for many areas. Numerous bouts of thundersnow have a occurred across the aforementioned areas as well.

Snow will continue into the afternoon, before ending from west to east by late afternoon or evening. An axis of 3-6” of final snowfall accumulation is still likely, with isolated higher amounts possible.
