(11:45AM - 7/9/19) A storm system moving through the region will bring the threat for severe t'storms to portions of the state, today through Wednesday.

July 9th - This Afternoon-Tonight Forecast...
Isolated to scattered showers and t'storms will develop across portions of Southwest Illinois this afternoon. This activity will push eastward across portions of Southern Illinois into tonight, before diminishing. No severe t'storms are expected with this activity. Additional scattered showers and t'storms ongoing during the day across Iowa and Missouri will push into Northwest and Western Illinois late this afternoon and evening. This activity will push across portions of Northern and Central Illinois into tonight, weakening with time. An environment characterized by moderate instability, moderate moisture and low shear will be in place. This will aide in an isolated to widely scattered severe t’storm threat across portions of Northwest and Western Illinois, with damaging wind and large hail being the main threats.
July 10th - Wednesday Morning-Night Forecast...
Isolated to scattered showers and t'storms may be ongoing Wednesday morning across portions of Northeast and Eastern Illinois. Additional scattered showers and t'storms will develop during the afternoon, along a cold front pushing across Northern and Central Illinois. This activity will sweep eastward, exiting the state by early Wednesday night. An environment characterized by high instability, high moisture and low shear will be in place. This will aide in an isolated to widely scattered severe t’storm threat across much of the state, with damaging wind and large hail being the main threats.
