Winter Storm Warnings And Flood Watches Now In Effect, As Winter Storm Takes Aim On The State1/10/2020
(5:30AM - 1/10/19) As we have been discussing for several days now, a winter storm will impact the state and region from now through Saturday night. Heavy rain, flooding, severe t'storms, high winds, snow, sleet and ice are expected across the state. Flood watches are in effect for much of Central and Southern Illinois, and winter storm warnings for much of Western, Northwest and North-Central Illinois.
Several inches of rain with flood potential is likely across the flood watch areas, and adjacent areas. Snow, sleet and ice accumulation is likely across the winter storm warning areas, and adjacent areas. High winds gusts of 25-45mph will be possible during this time across the state as well.
