This period brought multiple days with high temperatures well into the 90's and heat indices into the 100's for many areas. Summary.... A heat wave impacted to region and state during late August. A large and elongated ridge was in place across the Central to Eastern US, which is helped to extend hot and humid conditions into the state and region for several day period of time. During this time, high temperatures made it into the 90's for many areas across the state for several days during this period.
