Christmas Eve Forecast... A cloudy, dry and mild day is expected across the state for Christmas Eve (Fri, Dec 24th). High temperatures will range from the low 50's to low 60's across northern Illinois, to the upper 50's to upper 60's across Central and Southern Illinois. Dry conditions are expected, with generally mostly cloudy to cloudy skies across the state. Low temperatures will range from the 30's across Northern Illinois, into the 40's across Central and Southern Illinois. Christmas Day Forecast... A storm system will be moving through the region on Christmas Day (Sat, Dec 25th). This storm system will bring cooler temperatures and rain for portions of the state. Across Northern Illinois, areas of scattered showers will be possible through the day, with high temperatures into the 40's. Across Central Illinois, high temperatures in the low 50's to mid 60's will occur during the morning. A cold front will move through, the the chance of scattered showers during the morning, with falling temperatures through the rest of the day. Across Southern Illinois, mild temperatures into the mid 60's to low 70's are expected.
