Summary.... A strong ridge is expected to briefly build into the region this weekend, allowing for a brief push of hot and humid conditions. While this will not be a heat wave by our standards, it is noteworthy enough to discuss. The most widespread hot and humid conditions will be on Saturday and Sunday across the state, when high temperatures well into the 90's and heat index values in the mid 90's to mid 100's are likely. Friday and Monday will serve as fringe days, with only portions of the state being affected with tempered conditions.
