(7:00PM - 2/12/19) As the current winter storm that has been affecting the state begins to exit the region, attention will turn to the next storm system that will affect portions of the state on Friday and Saturday...
Model guidance is in good agreement in having a fast moving storm system push across the region bringing a period of snow to portions of Central and much of Southern Illinois Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. While it's still too early to be discussing specific snowfall amounts, it looks likely that there will be a swath of at least light to moderate snowfall accumulations across the aforementioned areas. Additional updates regarding this potential snow event will be posted in the coming days, including our first TAM snowfall forecast.
