(11:00PM - 2/13/19) Model guidance continues to be in good agreement in showing the likelihood for a snow and ice event across portions of Central and all of Southern Illinois Friday afternoon into late Friday night.
A fast moving and compact storm system will rapidly push across the region Friday into Saturday, bringing a period of snow and ice to portions of Central and much of Southern Illinois Friday afternoon into late Friday night. This event will not be significant, with only light accumulations of snow and ice expected. A swath of 1-3" of snow is likely across portions of Central and Southern Illinois, with an axis of up to 0.10" of ice across far Southern Illinois...locally higher amounts of snow and ice are possible. Additional updates are likely regarding this event. Below is our first TAM snow and ice forecasts for this event.
