(12:30AM - 1/13/19) Saturday night update on the ongoing major snowstorm that has been affecting the state this weekend...
Areas of snow varying in intensity are ongoing across much of Northern and Central Illinois at this time, with some rain/mixed precipitation across portions of Southern Illinois. This activity will continue overnight, slowly becoming scattered and diminishing with time as the storm system slowly pushes east of the region and weakens. Snow will end across Northern Illinois by Sunday morning, and by Sunday afternoon across portions Central and Southern Illinois. Additional snowfall accumulations of a dusting to 1.5" are possible for affected areas, before the snow ends on Sunday.
