(3:00PM - 1/2/20) A weak and fast moving disturbance will bring the chance for light snow to portions of the state, Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.
An area of precipitation and associated disturbance will be dropping southeast through the Midwest on Friday. Precipitation in the form of a mix will first enter Northwest Illinois Friday evening. This precipitation will then change over to snow, as it spread across a good portion of Northern and Central Illinois, Friday night through Saturday morning. Some snow may linger across Eastern Illinois into Saturday afternoon. This will be nothing more than a nuisance "event", with only a dusting of snow expected for affected areas. Below is the TAM snowfall forecast for this "event".
