Sunday morning through Sunday night...
Areas of scattered showers and isolated t’storms have been ongoing across portions of Northern and Central Illinois this morning, with this activity expected to last into the afternoon for some areas. Renewed development of scattered showers and t’storms are likely to develop in the vicinity of a front and outflow boundaries across portions of Southern Illinois this afternoon, which will continue into Sunday evening for these areas. An environment in place featuring low instability, good moisture and good shear will be in place. This environment will help support an isolated severe t’storm threat across portions of Southern Illinois. Wind and hail will be the main threats. Additional periods of scattered showers and t’storms from activity occurring across states to the west will also push across portions of Northwest and Western Illinois late tonight. Below is the updated TAM severe weather forecast for the final day of this multi-day event.
