Periods of scattered showers and t'storms will be likely across portions of Northern and Central Illinois Monday morning into Monday night, associated with a storm system moving across the area. The environment in place by afternoon will feature low instability, meager moisture and decent shear...thus an isolated t'storm may be strong to severe. Wind and hail will be the main threats, though an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. This activity will will diminish and/or exit the state overnight on Monday.
