Mon, Feb 27th Severe T'Storm & High Wind Event Update #3

​(10:30AM Sun, Feb 26th 2023) Sunday morning update regarding a storm system that will move through the region tonight through Monday, bringing the potential for severe t'storms and high winds to portions of the state. Little to no changes were needed to previous forecasts with this update.

​Timing & Location...
•Severe T'Storm Risk: Early Monday morning - Late Monday morning, Feb 27th: Central & Southern Illinois.
•High Winds: Early Monday morning - Monday evening , Feb 27th: Much of Illinois.

Impacts...
•A level 1 severe t'storm risk is in place across Central and Southern Illinois, from early Monday morning through late Monday morning. Isolated severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado.
•A period of high winds are expected across much of the state, early Monday morning through Monday evening. Wind gusts ranging from 35-60MPH are expected across the state, with locally higher wind gusts possible.
