​(7:30PM Sunday - 7/3/22) A large ridge will build in and expand across the Central US this week. As this ridge is in place, along with it will come a push of hot and humid conditions, which will expand and take up residence across the state and region for a several day period.

-Monday, July 4th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to mid 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-107.
-Tue, July 5th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 97-113.
-Wed, July 6th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 97-113.
