Mon-Fri, July 4-8th Heat Wave Update #1

(1:45PM Monday - 7/4/22) A large ridge will build in and expand across the Central US this week. As this ridge is in place, along with it will come a push of hot and humid conditions, which will expand and take up residence across the state and region for a several day period.

•Wed, July 6th: Central and Southern Illinois.
•Thur, July 7th: Central and Southern Illinois.
•Fri, July 8th: Southern Illinois.

Impacts...
•Tue, July 5th: High temperatures ranging from the low 90's to low 100's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 97-115.
•Wed, July 6th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to upper 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 95-113.
•Thur, July 7th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to upper 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 95-113.
•Fri, July 8th: High temperatures ranging from the mid 80's to mid 90's across Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-110.
