The remnants of Hurricane Barry will be pushing through the mid Mississippi Valley on Monday, affecting portions of the state in the process of doing so. Periods of rain and t'storms will spread across portions of Central and Southern Illinois Monday morning through Monday night. As is the case with most remnant tropical systems that affect the state, some heavy rainfall is possible, as is the threat for some severe t'storms. The environment in place will featuring low instability, high moisture and good shear. This will promote an isolated severe t'storm threat across portions of Central and Southern Illinois, Monday morning through Monday night. The main threats will be damaging winds and an isolated tornado. Below is the TAM severe t'storm forecast for Monday morning-night.
