Summary.... A large and elongated ridge is in place across the Central to Eastern US, which is helping to extend hot and humid conditions into the state and region for several day period of time, through this upcoming weekend. During this time, high temperatures will make it into the 90's for many areas across the state for several days during this period. Additionally of note will be the high heat index values, a product of high humidity/high dew points into the low 70's to low 80's...Leading to heat index values into the 95-110 degree range for many areas for several days during this period.
