(9:30PM - 5/29/19) Another storm system pushing across the region is bringing another multi-day period of severe weather potential to portions of the state Monday through Thurssday.

Monday recap...
On Monday, areas of showers and t'storms moved across portions of Northern and Central Illinois during the morning into early afternoon. In the wake of this activity, scattered shower and t'storm development occurred, with a numerous storms being severe, across much of Northern and portions of Central Illinois. All modes of severe weather occurred, including some tornadoes.

Tuesday recap...
​On Tuesday, areas of showers and t'storms moved across portions of Northern and Central Illinois during the morning into early afternoon. In the wake of this activity, scattered shower and t'storm development occurred across Central Illinois, with widely scattered to scattered t'storms having been severe. Wind and hail were the main threats seen with this activity. Additionally, large complexes of rain and t'storms push across much of Northern and Central Illinois Tuesday evening through Tuesday night. Widely scattered severe t'storms occurred with this activity, with wind and hail being the main threats that were seen.
Tonight...
Widespread areas of rain and t'storms are ongoing across a good portion of the state early tonight. This activity will spread across much of the state overnight. An isolated severe t'storm will continue to be possible across the state tonight. All modes of severe weather are possible with any storm that reaches severe limits, though the threat is low overall.

Thursday morning through Thursday night...
Areas of showers and t'storms will be ongoing across portions of Northeast, Eastern and Southern Illinois Thursday morning. This activity will exit the state to the east by mid to late morning. In the wake of the early activity, some clearing and destabilization will occur across the state. Additional isolated to scattered showers and t'storms will develop across the state during the afternoon, continuing into the evening. Of focus will be near and front and low pressure that will be sliding southeastward across Northern and Central Illinois. An environment in place featuring low instability, good moisture and decent shear will be in place. This environment will help support an isolated severe t’storm threat across Northern and Central Illinois Thursday afternoon into evening. All modes of severe weather are possible with any storm that reaches severe limits, though the threat is low overall.
