Areas of snow have already been pushing across portions of Northern and Central Illinois this morning, with even some accumulation having occurred. Additional areas of snow will spread across a large portion of the state, through early Tuesday morning. Due to the associated disturbance being fast moving, weak and moisture starved...This will remain a minor/nuisance event. With cold temperatures in place, snow will be of a high ratio/fluffy variety. What's Expected... Final snowfall totals upwards of 1-3" are expected across a large portion of the state. Locally higher amounts will be possible across portions of Southern Illinois and portions of Northern Illinois, where two distinct more organized/heavier snows are expected.
