The environment in place will featuring low instability, high moisture and good shear. This will promote an isolated severe t'storm threat across portions of Central and Southern Illinois, through tonight. The main threats will be damaging winds and an isolated tornado.
7/16/19 - Tuesday Morning-Night Forecast...
The remnants of Hurricane Barry will continue to push through the mid Mississippi Valley on Tuesday, affecting portions of the state in the process of doing so. Periods of rain and t'storms will spread across portions of the state through Tuesday and Tuesday night. As is the case with most remnant tropical systems that affect the state, some heavy rainfall is possible, as is the threat for some severe t'storms. The environment in place will featuring low instability, high moisture and good shear. This will promote an isolated severe t'storm threat across portions of Central and Southern Illinois, Tuesday morning through night. The main threats will be damaging winds and an isolated tornado.
