A storm system moving through the region Monday into Tuesday will bring a period of high winds to the state, Monday morning through Tuesday morning. High winds aloft, characterized by a low level jet of 50-70KT, will be in place. Mixing depths will support wind gusts of 30-50MPH across much of Northern and Central Illinois, Monday morning through Tuesday morning. Breezy conditions will diminish on Tuesday from north to south across the state, as a cold front pushes through.
