(9:30PM - 10/20/19) A storm system moving through the region will bring a period of windy conditions, Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon.
Winds will increase across the state early Monday morning, along and ahead of a cold front sweeping across the state. Winds will continue to be elevated behind of front, through the day and into Monday night. By later Monday Night and into Tuesday afternoon, winds will continue to be strong across Northern and Central Illinois, on the backside of the system. A strong flow aloft, characterized by upwards of 50-70KTS at 850mb, will bring widespread wind gusts of 25-45MPH likely across the state during this period...With isolated higher wind gusts in excess of 45MPH possible, especially across Northern Illinois. Below is the TAM wind forecast for Monday morning-Tuesday afternoon.
