(7:15AM - 10/22/19) A storm system moving through the region will continue to bring windy conditions to portions of the state, through this afternoon.
Wind gusts of 25-45MPH were common across much of the state Monday morning through Monday evening, with isolated gusts of 45-55MPH having occurred for some areas. A brief lull in the higher winds occurred for a time Monday evening into Monday night. Winds once again increased across Northern and Central Illinois late last night and into early this morning, with gusts of 30-45MPH common across these areas. These higher winds will continue into this afternoon, before easing during the evening. Some isolated gusts of 45-55MPH are possible. Further south across Southern Illinois, breezy conditions are expected, but peak winds will remain much lower than further north.
