(9:00PM Mon, April 3rd 2023) Monday night update on a storm system that will move through the region through Wednesday, bringing the potential for a few rounds of t'storms to the state. With this update we have increased severe t'storm probabilities to a level 3 risk across portions of Northwestern and Western Illinois, for Tuesday/Tuesday night.
Timing & Location... •This evening - Tuesday morning, April 3-4th: Northern & Central Illinois. •Tuesday morning - Wednesday morning, April 4-5th: Much of Illinois. Impacts... •A level 1 severe t'storm risk is in place across portions of Northern and Central Illinois, from this evening through Tuesday morning. Very isolated severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of hail. •A level 1 to 3 severe t'storm risk is in place all of Illinois, from Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning. Isolated to scattered severe t'storms will be possible, posing a risk of large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes.
