(10:15PM Tue, April 4th 2023) Tuesday night update on a storm system that will continue to move through the region through Wednesday, bringing a few rounds of severe t'storms to the state. With this update we have adjusted the severe t'storm forecast based on additional severe t'storm potential that is still expected.
Timing & Location... •Tonight - Early Wednesday afternoon, April 4-5th: Much of Illinois. Impacts... •A level 2 severe t'storm risk is in place all of Illinois, from tonigt through early Wednesday afternoon. Widely scattered severe t'storms are expected across the state, posing a risk of large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes. •Environmental conditions will be supportive of the possibility of a few strong tornadoes, occurrences of damaging winds gusts 75MPH+/corridors of wind damage and occurrences of large hail larger than 2.00".
