(11:30PM Saturday - 6/18/22) Another ridge will quickly build and move eastward through the Central and Eastern US, during the early and middle portion of this upcoming week. As this ridge moves through, along with it will come a push of hot conditions, which will expand and take up residence across the state and region for a several day period.
Location & Timing... •Mon, June 20th: All of Illinois. •Tue, June 21st: All of Illinois. •Wed, June 22nd: All of Illinois. Impacts... •Monday, June 20th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to mid 90's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 87-97. •Tue, June 21st: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-103. •Wed, June 22nd: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 92-103. High temperatures will range from the mid 80's to low 90's across Northern Illinois. •Note: Hot temperatures may persist beyond Wednesday across portions of the state.
