Mon-Wed, June 20-22nd Heat Wave Update #2

​(9:00PM Monday - 6/20/22) Another ridge has quickly built into the region and move eastward through the Central and Eastern US, during the early and middle portion of this week. As this ridge moves through, along with it has come a push of hot conditions, which will expand and take up residence across the state and region for a few days. 

​Location & Timing...
•Tue, June 21st: All of Illinois.
•Wed, June 22nd: Southern Illinois.

Impacts...
•Tue, June 21st: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-105. A few locations could see high temperatures near 100.
•Wed, June 22nd: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 92-105.
