A area of snow will spread across Northern and Central Illinois, midday Saturday into early Saturday night. Across Southern Illinois, a transition zone will set up, between rain and snow. With cold air in place, the snow will be of the high ratio/fluffy variety. What's Expected... Final snowfall totals upwards of 1-3" is expected across a large portion of the state, with amounts upwards of 2-5" into far Western Illinois. Below is the snowfall forecast for this event.
