(6:30PM - 6/18/20) A storm system moving through the region will bring the chance for severe t'storms to the state for Saturday.
Synopsis... A storm system is expected to move through the region on Saturday. Isolated to scattered showers and t'storms may be ongoing Saturday morning across portions of Northern and Central Illinois. In the wake of this activity, additional scattered showers and t'storms will develop along and ahead of an advancing "cold" front moving through the region. This activity will push across much of the state, Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. The environment expected to be in place will feature low instability, decent moisture, marginal shear and marginal forcing. This will lead to a minimal severe t'storm threat across much of the state, with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats. Below is the severe t'storm forecast for this event.
