(12:30AM - 6/20/20) A storm system moving through the region will bring the chance for severe t'storms to the state for Saturday.
Synopsis... A storm system is expected to move through the region on Saturday. Isolated to scattered showers and t'storms may be ongoing Saturday morning across portions of Northwest and West-Central Illinois. Some of this activity may persist into the afternoon, with the potential for re-intensification across Northern and Central Illinois. Additionally, new scattered showers and t'storms will develop along and ahead of an advancing "cold" front moving through the region. Both previous re-generated morning activity and new afternoon development will push across much of the state in the form of several clusters/lines, Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. The environment expected to be in place will feature low instability, decent moisture, marginal shear and marginal forcing. This will lead to a minimal severe t'storm threat across much of the state, with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats. Below is the severe t'storm forecast for this event.
