This activity spread across Central Illinois through Saturday night. Some of the initial activity was severe across Central Illinois, Saturday evening into early Saturday night, with damaging winds and large hail having occurred.

As a frontal boundary drifts southward across Southern Illinois, a complex of severe t'storms currently across Southern Missouri is expected ride east-southeast in the vicinity of the front, across far Southern Illinois this afternoon. An environment in place featuring low instability, decent moisture, good shear and good forcing will be in place. This will support a minimal to limited severe t'storm risk across Southern Illinois. Isolated to widely scattered severe t'storms will be possible across far Southern Illinois, with damaging winds and large hail the main threats. Additional isolated to scattered showers t'storms may develop in the wake of this main complex across Southern Missouri this afternoon and evening, which could clip far Southern Illinois this evening. An isolated severe t'storm would be possible with this activity. Monday morning - Monday night... As the main storm system pushes through the region, waves of scattered showers and t'storms will spread across Central and Southern Illinois, Monday afternoon through Monday night. With a warm front and the track of the main storm system set to be across Southern Illinois, a minimal to limited severe t'storms threat will exist across Central and Southern Illinois. The environment expected to be in place will feature low instability, mediocre moisture, good shear and good forcing. Isolated to widely scattered severe t'storms will be possible across the aforementioned areas, with the best chance being closer to the Illinois/Missouri and Illinois/Kentucky border areas.
