(12:30PM - 5/4/20) Several disturbances moving through the region, will bring the chance for severe t'storms to portions of the state, through tonight.

This afternoon - Tonight...
As the main storm system pushes through the region, waves of scattered showers and t'storms will spread across Central and Southern Illinois, this afternoon through tonight. Widespread ares of severe t'storms have been ongoing across Kansas and Missouri this morning. Some of this activity will likely part of what affects portions of the southern half of the state today. With a warm front and the track of the main storm system set to be near Southern Illinois, a minimal to limited severe t'storms threat will exist across Central and Southern Illinois. The environment expected to be in place will feature low instability, mediocre moisture, good shear and good forcing. Isolated to widely scattered severe t'storms will be possible across the aforementioned areas, with the best chance being across far Southwest/Southern Illinois. Damaging winds and large hail will be the mains severe weather threats.
Saturday evening - Saturday night recap...
As a frontal boundary pushed southward across Central Illinois, scattered showers and t'storms developed across Central Illinois Saturday evening. This activity spread across Central Illinois through Saturday night. Some of the initial activity was severe across Central Illinois, Saturday evening into early Saturday night, with damaging winds and large hail having occurred.

Sunday morning - Sunday afternoon recap...

As a frontal boundary drifted southward across Southern Illinois, a complex of severe t'storms raced east-southeast across S Missouri, N Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon. This complex clipped far Southern Illinois for a time...However, the severe t'storm activity stayed just south of the state.
