(11:45AM - 3/16/19) A compact, weak and fast moving disturbance will move across the state bringing the chance of snow for some areas tonight and tomorrow morning...
Snow is expected to spread into the Quad Cities area this evening. This activity will quickly spread across portions of Northern and Central Illinois, continuing overnight and into Sunday morning, before exiting the state by noon on Sunday. This event will only affect a relatively small portion of the state, and will be quick hitting. However, a period of moderate to heavy snow will be possible. Snowfall accumulations within a narrow axis will be up to 1-3", with this axis likely being in the vicinity of I-80. Below is our first TAM snowfall forecast for this event.
