(10:45AM - 4/14/19) A late season snow event continues to affect portions of the state this morning, and will continue to through later this afternoon.
An area of moderate to heavy snow continues to push across portions of Northern and Central Illinois at this time. Snowfall accumulation of 2-5” has already occurred for many areas. Numerous bouts of thundersnow have a occurred across the aforementioned areas as well. Snow will continue into the afternoon, before ending from west to east by late afternoon or evening. An axis of 3-6” of final snowfall accumulation is still likely, with isolated higher amounts possible.
