(5:00PM Thur, May 18th 2023) The latest NOAA drought monitor update valid Tuesday May 16th, 2023 shows that patchy areas across Illinois continue to experience abnormally dry (D0) to moderate drought (D1) conditions. There has been little change in conditions across the state from the previous update, on May 11th. The weather pattern over the next week or so will continue to support below average rainfall across the state.
