(8:00PM - 3/16/21) St. Patrick's Day has arrived, and it will feature rainy/stormy weather across much of the state, along with cool temperatures expected across the northern half of the state and mild temperatures across the southern half of the state.
St. Patrick's Day Forecast... Periods/waves of rain and t'storms will spread across the state throughout much of the day. There will be a low end severe t'storm risk across the southern half of the state, from Wednesday afternoon through later Wednesday night. Damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado will be the main threats. Additionally, windy conditions will develop across Northern and Central Illinois Wednesday night, with wind gusts of 25-45MPH being possible. High temperatures on St. Patrick's Day will be in the upper 30's to low 40's across Northern Illinois, the low 40's to mid 50's across Central Illinois, and the low 50's to mid 60's across Southern Illinois. Low temperatures for the day will be in the low to mid 30's across Northern Illinois, the upper 30's to mid 40's across Central Illinois, and the low 40's to low 50's across Southern Illinois.
