(3:30PM Thur, Oct 20th 2022) The latest NOAA drought monitor update valid October 18th, 2022 continues to show a large portion of Illinois is experiencing abnormally dry (D0) to severe drought (D2) conditions. As has been the case the past several weeks, with this update there has once again been some expansion on areal coverage and an increase in severity of drought conditions across portions the state.
