(6:00PM Thur, Sept 15th 2022) The latest NOAA drought monitor update valid September 13th, 2022 continues to show portions of Illinois experiencing abnormally dry (D0) to severe drought (D2) conditions. With this update there has been some expansion and intensification of drought conditions across portions of Western/Central Illinois.
•Abnormally dry (D0) to severe drought (D2) conditions continue across portions of the state.
•The most widespread and significant drought conditions continue to be across portions of Central Illinois.
The next drought monitor update will be on September 22nd.
