(10:30PM – 2/8/19) Model guidance continues to be in agreement for the upcoming light snow event for much of the state on Sunday…
A mix of snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain will spread into Southern Illinois early Sunday morning. This precip will then quickly spread northeastward in the form of snow, across all of Northern and Central Illinois. Snow will continue across Northern and Central Illinois, and a mix across Southern Illinois, through the day before finally ending Sunday evening.
Minor ice/sleet/snow accumulations are possible for portions of Southern Illinois. Further north, a general 0.5-3” of snow is expected across all of Northern and Central Illinois, with many locations ending up towards lower to middle side of that range.
Below is our updated TAM snowfall forecast for the event.
