Sun-Fri, June 12-17th Heat Wave Update #2

(10:30PM Sunday - 6/12/22) A ridge has started to build into the region, and will move eastward through the Central and Eastern US, through the end of this week. As this ridge moves through, along with it will come a push of hot and humid conditions, which will expand and take up residence across the state and region for a several day period.

Tue, June 14th: All of Illinois.
Wed, June 15th: All of Illinois.
Thur, June 16th: Central and Southern Illinois.
Fri, June 17th: Southern Illinois.

-Monday, June 13th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across Northwest, Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 97-113.
-Tue, June 14th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 97-113.
-Wed, June 15th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across the entire state of Illinois, with peak heat indices of 95-113.
-Thur, June 16th: High temperatures ranging from the low to upper 90's across Central and Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-110.
-Fri, June 17th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to mid 90's across Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-107.
