(2:45PM Thursday - 9/1/22) Several disturbances and a main storm system moved through the region Sunday August 28th through Monday August 29th, bringing a few rounds of rain/t'storm activity to portions of the state, including severe weather for some areas.
•Two distinct rounds of severe t'storm activity occurred across the state during this two day period, Sunday August 28th through Monday August 29th. The first round occurred Sunday afternoon into early Sunday night August 28th, affecting Northern Illinois. The second round occurred Monday afternoon into Monday night August 29th, affecting much of Illinois.
•Damaging winds were the greatest severe weather occurrence with activity both days, with some significant and widespread damaging winds having occurred across portions of Northeast Illinois with activity on Monday August 29th.
