A fast moving and weak disturbance will move through the region on Thursday, bringing periods of snow and another minor snowfall event to portions of the state. Model guidance continues to be in general agreement regarding this event, with little change needed for this forecast update.

Forecast...
​Areas of snow and snow showers will spread across much of Northern and Central Illinois, Thursday morning through early Friday morning. Due to the associated disturbance being fast moving, weak and moisture starved...This will remain a minor/nuisance event.

​What's Expected...
Final snowfall totals upwards of 1-3" are possible across far Northwest Illinois, with a dusting to 1" expected across much of Northern and Central Illinois.
