This winter storm/snow event brought periods of snow that traversed Northern Illinois. A sharp gradient of light to heavy snowfall accumulation occurred across Northern Illinois.
Recap... •A storm system moved through the region Thursday through Friday, March 9-10th, bringing accumulating snow to Northern Illinois. •A sharp gradient of snowfall accumulation occurred across Northern Illinois. Observed snowfall accumulation ranged from 4-7" to 6-9" closer to the IL/WI border, to a dusting-1" to 2-5" for areas closer to the I-88/I-80 corridors. •The wet/heavy consistency of the snow caused some isolated occurrences of tree damage.
