(11:30AM - 3/11/20) A storm system moving through the region on Thursday will bring the chance for severe t'storms to portions of the state.
As a storms system and associated cold front sweeps into the region, the development of showers and t'storms is expected across Missouri and Arkansas, Thursday morning and afternoon. This activity is expected to push eastward, into and across Central and Southern Illinois, Thursday afternoon into early Thursday night. Environmental conditions featuring low instability, modest moisture and decent forcing will be in place. This will aide in an isolated severe t'storm threat across portions of Central and all of Southern Illinois. All modes of severe weather will be possible for these areas. An upgrade in severe t'storm probabilities may be needed in future updates. Below is the severe t'storm forecast for this event.
