(11:00AM - 3/12/20) A storm system moving through the region today will bring the chance for severe t'storms to portions of the state. This update features minor severe t'storm risk placement changes.
As a storms system and associated cold front sweeps into the region, the development of showers and t'storms has occurred this morning across Missouri and Arkansas. This activity has already pushed into portions of Central and Southern Illinois, and will continue to do so into the afternoon. Re-newed develop of scattered showers and t'storms will also occur in Missouri and Southern Illinois this afternoon, with this activity continuing through this evening. Environmental conditions featuring low instability, good moisture, great wind profiles and good forcing forcing will be in place. This will aide in an upwards of an elevated severe t'storm threat across portions of the aforementioned areas. All modes of severe weather will be possible for these areas, including a tornado threat.
