Thur-Sat, July 14-16th Heat Episode

(9:45PM Thursday - 7/14/22) As has been the case much of this summer, a large ridge is in place across the Inter-Mountain West and Plains. A piece of this ridge extending into the region is bringing a brief period of hot temperatures to portions of the state, late this week and early this weekend.

•Fri, July 15th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to upper 90's across Southern and far Western Illinois, with peak heat indices of 90-100.
•Sat, July 16th: High temperatures ranging from the upper 80's to upper 90's across Southern Illinois, with peak heat indices of 93-105.
