Tue, June 25th Severe T’storm Threat

(10:30PM - 6/23/19) A disturbance and frontal boundary moving through the region, will bring the chance for severe t'storms to portions of the state on Tuesday.

Scattered showers and t’storms will develop during the afternoon across Iowa, Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. This activity will then push east-southeastward across Northern and Central Illinois, Tuesday afternoon into night. An environment in place featuring moderate instability, moderate to high moisture and decent shear will be in place. This will promote an isolated severe t’storm threat across much of Northern and Central Illinois, with wind and hail being the main threats.
