A large line of rain and t’storms that will be left from Monday’s severe weather outbreak in the Plains will be ongoing across portions of Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas this morning and early afternoon. This activity is expected to push northeastward across much of the state from mid this afternoon into tonight. The environment ahead of this activity, near and south of the warm front over Central Illinois, will be supportive of a severe t’storm threat across portions of Central and Southern Illinois. The environment in place will feature low to moderate instability, good moisture and good shear. Wind and hail will be the main threats with any severe t’storm, and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Below is our updated TAM severe t’storm forecast for today into tonight.
